Author Opportunities
If you are interested in submitting your educational manuscript to Show What You Know® Publishing, please read the guidelines below. Thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.
Guidelines For Submitting a Manuscript:
Show What You Know® Publishing publishes quality educational materials, primarily standards-based, state test preparation materials. We sell our publications to educators and parents through bookstores, teacher supply stores, catalog, website, online retailers, and through our in-house distribution warehouse.
If you are not sure whether Show What You Know® Publishing is the right publisher for you, peruse our website to see if your work fits with the materials we have published.
What to Submit
Your submission should include:
- A cover letter containing a brief, 1-2 paragraph description of the books you have written
- Your resume or vita
- A detailed outline of the entire book (Please be as specific as possible)
- At least two completed chapters of your book
- A proposal that addresses the following:
- What is the purpose of your book?
- Who is your intended audience? How large is this market?
- What will the reader get from your book?
- Do books similar to the one you have written exist in the market? If so, why is your book superior? How is your book similar to and different from these books? Why would someone buy your book rather than one from a competitor?
- Is your manuscript complete? If not, why is it not complete and when do you anticipate it will be finished?
- How long is your book?
- Does your book include artwork of any kind? Will you supply this material?
Reviewing Your Proposal
Once we receive your submission, it will be reviewed by an editor who is familiar with your topic. The editor will determine whether your book is in line with the materials produced by Show What You Know® Publishing. Depending on our workload, this process may take several weeks. If your submission appears to fit our publishing plans, we will contact you regarding the future of your book.

Staff Positions
- Intern Business Office - Unpaid Intern position available immediately. Assist accounts recieveable with order entry, customer service, and collections skills. Gain valuable experience that you can put on your resume or use to get your foot in the door here or somewhere else.
- Inside Sales Representative - Call on school teachers, principals and curriculum directors to help them with student success. Use your consultative sales and customer service skills to sell and service our school customers. Work with a fun sales team and for a growing company.
- Intern Editorial - Proofread, copyedit, assemble manuscripts, layout, and make print ready workbooks and flash cards.
